Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of the We Should Probably app and website (collectively, "the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is provided by Basilicom, Francisco Ferrerlaan 123, 9000 Ghent, Belgium (VAT: BE1018829008), referred to below as "we", "us", or "the Company".


1. Your Account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to use the email address you register with.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately at [email protected].

2. The Service

We Should Probably is a household task and chore management app. The core features are available free of charge. A Premium subscription unlocks additional features as described in the app at the time of purchase.

We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time. We will provide reasonable notice before removing features that paying subscribers actively rely on.

Uptime

We aim for high availability but do not offer a formal service level agreement or uptime guarantee. Scheduled maintenance is performed outside peak hours where possible.

3. Households

A household is a shared space in the app. The person who creates a household is the household admin. Admin can invite and remove members. A Premium subscription covers all current members of a household.

You are responsible for the people you invite to your household. Do not invite anyone who should not have access to your household data.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Plans and pricing

Subscription plans and current prices are displayed in the app. Prices are in EUR and include applicable VAT. We reserve the right to change prices with at least 30 days' notice before the change affects your renewal.

Billing cycle

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your full card details.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription → Manage. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to Premium until then. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time except as stated below.

Refunds

New subscribers may request a full refund within 14 days of their first payment. After this period, refunds are not provided except where required by applicable law. To request a refund, contact [email protected].

6. Your Data

You own your household data. We process it only to provide the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

You can request an export or delete your data at any time by contacting ut, [email protected]. On account deletion, your personal data and household data are removed within 30 days.

7. Intellectual Property

The We Should Probably name, logo, and all app code and content are owned by the Company or its licensors. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or intellectual property.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process the content you create in the app for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from loss, corruption, attack, or interference.

The Service is a productivity tool for household organisation. It is not a safety-critical service. Do not use it for purposes where failure could result in harm.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Belgian consumer protection law or other applicable mandatory law.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time from within the app.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, if your payment fails after reasonable notice, or if we are required to do so by law. Where possible, we will give you advance notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 8, 9, and 11) will continue to apply.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghent, Belgium.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
